QEEG & Neurofeedback
"Your brainwaves control your thoughts, your emotions - almost everything about you. If you can change your brainwaves, you can change your life."

What is neurofeedback?
Neurofeedback is a powerful, non-invasive technique that helps regulate brain function by measuring and providing real-time feedback about your brain's electrical activity. Think of it as a mirror for your brain - allowing you to see and influence patterns you weren't previously aware of.

How does it work?
Your brain produces different types of brainwaves, each associated with specific mental states:
- Delta waves: The slowest frequency, present during deep sleep
- Theta waves: Active during deep relaxation and meditation
- Alpha waves: Present during calm, focused states
- Beta waves: Dominant during active thinking and concentration
- Gamma waves: The fastest frequency, associated with peak performance and focus
A well-regulated brain can smoothly transition between these states based on the situation - focusing when needed and relaxing when appropriate. However, many people struggle with this natural shifting, which can lead to various challenges in daily life.

The QEEG brain mapping process
We use Quantitative EEG (QEEG) brain mapping as the foundation of our neurofeedback program. This advanced technology measures electrical activity at 19 different points across your brain, creating a comprehensive map of your brain's functioning.
The process involves:
- Placing non-invasive sensors on specific points of your scalp
- Recording your brain's electrical activity
- Analyzing the patterns to identify areas that could benefit from optimization
- Creating a personalized neurofeedback protocol based on your results
Our two approaches to neurofeedback training
1 NeuroMeditation
Our primary approach uses NeuroMeditation, developed by psychologist and neurofeedback practitioner Jeff Tarrant. This method:
- Provides real-time feedback about your meditative state
- Helps you recognize when you’re truly meditating versus mind-wandering
- Focuses on regulating alpha waves to promote deep relaxation
- Helps break patterns of sympathetic dominance (chronic fight/flight/freeze response)
- Teaches skills you can continue practicing at home without equipment
2 Targeted Neurofeedback
Based on your QEEG results, we can also offer specialized training for specific brain regions that show opportunity for improvement. Using audio and visual cues, you’ll learn to optimize your brain activity patterns in these areas.

Applications of neurofeedback
Neurofeedback has shown promise in supporting:
- Stress and anxiety management
- Focus and attention
- Creativity and performance
- Cognitive function
- Sleep quality
- Emotional regulation
- Recovery from trauma/PTSD
- Athletic performance
The path to better brain function
Through neuroplasticity - your brain's lifelong ability to form new neural connections - neurofeedback can help create lasting positive changes in how your brain functions. Regular practice helps establish new, more beneficial patterns of brain activity, leading to improved self-regulation and wellbeing.
Integration with other modalities
Neurofeedback is most effective when combined with other approaches to nervous system regulation. We integrate neurofeedback with various other modalities to create a comprehensive approach to mental and physical wellbeing.

Sympathetic Dominance Protocol
A psychosomatic stress reduction method that combines various modalities to identify and remove emotional blocks that express as physical symptoms.

PEMF & Infrared
Muscle relaxation, improved circulation and ion transportation to stimulate the body's natural recovery process.

Photobiomodulation
Red light and Near Infrared Light of specific wavelengths interact with the mitochondria to boost ATP production (more energy).

Cold Thermogenesis
Nervous system regulation training and helps to reduce inflammation, boost metabolism and improve immune function.

Gut Healing Protocol
Reduce harmful bacteria and parasites, heal the gut lining and encourage growth of beneficial bacteria to boost the immune system and gut-brain connection.

Anti-Inflammatory Diet
A diet and supplement protocol designed to reduce inflammation, reverse deficiencies and boost neurotransmitter production.

Heart Rate Variability Training
Up-train the parasympathetic state to lower the baseline of stress, reduce overwhelm and enhance recovery and emotional regulation.

Bodywork
Boost parasympathetic response, reduce tension, improve circulation and lymphatic drainage.

Art & Cooking Classes
Encouraging creativity, authenticity and play. Classes include painting, macrame, chocolate-making and a Mexican cooking class.

Breathwork
Breathwork can elicit the parasympathetic nervous system response and, in some cases, euphoric or insightful experiences.

Drop-in therapy
Bite-sized sessions with a certified mental health professional to practice emotional processing as the opportunities arise.

Functional Movement
With resistance to improve muscle tone and coordination, mitochondrial function and neurotransmitter production.

Nature therapy
The healing effects of nature; grounding and negative ions from waterfalls, beaches, jungle with low-impact, endurance exercise.

QEEG & Neurofeedback
Brain mapping to measure and assess electrical activity, followed by directed Neurofeedback to improve brain function.

Trauma Release Exercises (TRE)
Restore the body's natural mechanism for releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension, and trauma.

YOGA & Working-in
Integrate mind, body and energy, improve mood, reduce stress and build strength, flexibility and balance.

Compression Suit
To improve circulation and lymphatic drainage to get rid of cellular waste and enhance regeneration.

Temazcal
An ancient Mesoamerican ritual using heat, steam, herbs and chanting for purification of the mind and body.
